Anything could happen here for the Kings. Blake now says he would trade his NTC. We could either clean house and acquire picks & prospects OR do nothing but trade a B-Stu for a 3rd rounder. Maybe some conditionals. Interesting...

I just want something to happen! Today was so boring!!!

I want to keep Stuart now since he doesn't suck anymore, but I realize that he could bring us something in return since he hasn't signed an extension. A 3rd rounder for Stuart doesn't seem like enough for me; that's what we got for Modry and Stuart is about 15 years younger than Jaro.

Surprisingly dormant trade deadline for the Kings. B-Stu for a 2nd & 3rd and Aubin (of all people) for a 7. boooorrrrrrriiiiinnnnnnggggg. Really surprised we couldn't unload Thronton or Willsie. Nagy fu*&^*d us by getting injured. He totally would have been gone.

I don't think the fact that the Kings did little today was a surprise at all. After all, what did they really have to deal away, given Blake's situation, Nagy's injury, the young kids being untouchable, most of the older vets being worthless...

Very true Gann. Blake really was our only real bargaining chip.

I was honestly PISSED that Stuart was traded. I mean, I know he was on the chopping block and I know the veterans were useless, but really, we just traded away two COMPETENT Dmen!! We got 3 picks out of it, but really. I'm irritated.

I think it's hilarious that Aubin actually got us something!

by Connie on Feb 26, 2008 5:06 PM PST reply actions

I would have guessed Aubin would get us a small amount of cash. Although, I would never have thought he would get traded at all. I'll take a 7th for him, solid trade. "Yomamaween!"

When I heard Aubin got traded, I was laughing...for awhile.
