Crawford Is Out

Marc Crawford has been released from his duties with the Kings. Did anyone see this coming? ....cause I sure didn't. Why did they wait so long after the season ended? Was there a reason to wait a week and a half before the Entry Draft?

I noticed how many coaches were being released from teams across the league, but I guess I'll take a closer look now that we're in need of one!! I've done my part of making a flyer to try to help out the Kings.

I blame it on Crawford's lack of baking skills. The organization must have realized they were sub par.

Once you get a good coach in there who is well trained in the ways of Martha Stewart, I predict the team to sky rocket up the standings.

Seriously, Elise! Who knew that baking was such an integral part of being an NHL coach?!

FIIIIIIINALLY!

The Kings will improve next year. Even if no one is behind the bench, they can't get any worse that what they were with Crawford.

Although Crawford did a lousy job in light of the fact that his team should have been able to stay afloat at least until the all-star break, he does not deserve all the blame. Lombardi must share much of the burden for saddling Crawford with a lineup that had good young talent up front, but nowhere near enough on the blue line or in goal. The team was doomed to miss the playoffs with their lineup.

Shameless plug time...I've got more on this in a story on my blog...

Connie...you might want to check out the new Blog List gadget from Blogger...you can list your recommended/favorite blogs on your site a lot easier.

Teebz - The Kings will improve next year regardless of who's behind the bench. With more young guys coming up from the AHL and less random free agents, the team will just mesh better together.

Gann - I agree; we'll see what happens. And I'm having some issues with Blogger and my layout, but am being lazy about it.
