Report: Blackhawks place Ebbett on waivers - Chicago Breaking Sports

Andrew Ebbett, who has been a healthy scratch the last two games, wasn't on the ice during the Blackhawks' practice Friday afternoon in Edmonton and reportedly has been placed on waivers.

During the broadcast of the Montreal-Washington game, TSN reported Ebbett has been waived. The forward has a goal in 12 games with the Hawks this season. He was claimed off waivers by the Hawks from the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 17.

and? isn’t he a rudy-esqe guy who was undrafted, given a shot, waived, picked up, given yet another shot, waived again and hasn’t proven a thing?

Sure, and he’s small, too. But skilled. The wild just grabbed him. I wasn’t arguing that the kings needed him. I just find the waiver news interesting. The cap has created a more intersting market.

He played really well with Selanne last year. But its also Selanne. I’d rather have Ebbet on our 4th line than Harrold.

Richardson-Ebbet-Purcell might actually be able to score a goal or two now and again.

kinda figured it was just waiver interest, but wasn’t sure if i was missing something about him. i haven’t seen him play much but i’d take harry in a heartbeat over him from what I know. bigger, more dependable, great attitude.
