GAME THREAD: Kings vs. Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks at Los Angeles Kings, Mar 18, 2010 7:30 PM PDT

My days have been so off this week, I thought this game was tomorrow. But thankfully there will be a puck drop and subsequent awesome game, so I'm excited! The Hawks had a bit of drama with the whole Brent Seabrook/James Wisniewski incident yesterday and today, but I'm sure they'll show up like nothing happened tonight.

The Kings face Kings Killer #3. Go Kings!!!

There was drama involving a Ducks dirty play? I’m shocked!!!!

And Brian Hayward tried to say he was “selling it”??

What. A. Joke.

He kills me. I can’t stand watching him call a game because the Ducks can do no wrong and the opposing team is a pack of cheaters. Grrrrr!

And the opposing goalie’s pads are always bigger than the Ducks netminder’s.

Which is ironic since the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man Giguere was the poster-child for over sized equipment.

Tonight we get revenge for the last game they’d played agianst the Hawks, but this time we win in REGULATION!!

Dang it!

I’m against slavery, but sometimes I wish we could have kept Dave Tippett forever.

Not a fan of the Ivanans interference call and not a fan of some of these no calls here. And I’m not one to blame the refs…

Good man on man forechecking pressure. I like the Richardson-Brown combo.

Hellooooo everybody!

I’m texting from my moble phone and on my way home. How is the game so far?

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:00 PM PDT reply actions

Not very good — no offense. Fortunately it’s only 1-0.

Yesterday the Goon squad STOLE a game from the hawks. Tonight, we make them more mad with a win. GO KINGS!!

Damn it Quick!! That was a soft goal. In my opinion, the Olympic break HAS hurt Quick in his performance.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:32 PM PDT reply actions

I just wanna say, it’s good to hear Bob back behind the mic.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:34 PM PDT reply actions

Murray needs to pull Quick, his head isn’t in this game. He’s probably thinking about the baby too much.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:38 PM PDT reply actions

Oh great, that’s what they needed. Down a man.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:52 PM PDT reply actions

Damn!! Simmons pratically had an open net! They need to score now, or it’s over.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:55 PM PDT reply actions

Penalty on Kopi! That’s it, game over. how are they going to maintain a spot for the playoffs if they keep losing.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 9:59 PM PDT reply actions

Keep the faith, Ram. We’re just beginning the Doughty Era…

If the Kings don’t perform better against the Isles on Saturday, then the pessimism will be justified. I think we’re OK

If they lose to the Isles, they can just start waving the white flag. To lose to a bad team like the Islanders would put this club into tormoil.

by The Ram on Mar 18, 2010 10:08 PM PDT up reply actions

I predict Saturday’s score will be Kings 6, Isles 1. Heidi Androl will register the Gordie Howe Hat Trick and Jimmy Fox will say “back it up here guys!” 57 times. Book it.
