Possibly the most iffy if/then statement ever devised

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the only condition under which the Blue Jackets receive anything for Fredrik Modin is if ... wait for it ... the Kings win ... (seriously!) ... the ...

Nice to have the "Blue Jacket Nation" on board with the Kings' playoff run this year...

Holy Brian Banning, Quisp! I laughed hysterically when I clicked on that link and read the conditions of the trade for À la Modin. Let’s all hope that the BJ’s get the 7th round pick from the Kings this draft.

Wow. Let’s pray to god we don’t win the cup so we don’t have to give up that 7th rounder! Wait. That doesn’t make sense.

So let’s see, he’s got two goals in three games, and we got him either for nothing or next to nothing. I wonder if Wysh would still call this acquisition “bizarre.”

I also wonder if Dean proposed that condition without breaking into gigglesnorts.

I like to think that DL made that deal knowing full well he’d have to pay up. :-)

I’m sure he wouldn’t mind beating that five year plan a bit early!

We have confirmation

Gann Matsuda just left a comment on Hammond’s blog that the Kings confirmed this after last night’s game. Sounds like he asked DL, or somebody else in a position to know.

Hope he posts about it in his blog.

Isn't there only 7 rounds to the draft?

This means that if Columbus gets anything at all it will be the very last pick… which is still like… nothing…
