Women, Hockey, Co-Habitation

Cassie from Raw Charge and From The Rink put together a post on women and hockey. This topic has gained momentum here and there through the years, and, for this instance, I have been asked to be a part of it. I graciously accepted and gave my answers in a matter-of-fact fashion because there are too many fine lines everywhere on this topic and it's easy to be mistaken by someone else not being able to basically read correctly.

So please read; hope you enjoy and learn a bit about me. Thanks!

Great read there Connie,

I don’t know what I appreciate more, girls who like hockey, or girls who are proud they are so passionate about hockey. However, tt is unfortunate that some people can be so shallow, and some girls are treated with so little respect.

In Vancouver, everyone bleeds Vancouver Canucks, but I have only been an immigrant from HK for about 10 years, so my passion started quite a bit later than the established fans. It took a couple of years with the West Coast Express line to generate the type of attractive hockey style to get me interested, (and I JUST missed out on Gretzky’s greatness… I can’t believe it).

Last Saturday, I had a chance to watch Game two at home with the girlfriend. She was able to ask about certain rules, penalties, etc, and we had a great time watching the game.

Here’s hoping I did my part, and created one more female hockey supporter out there!
