PrintAs I woke up this morning and was making my cup of coffee thinking about the errands I had to run, I was hit with the sudden revalation that the Kings are still playing meaningful games this late in the season! I actually have a game that matters to look forward to tonight! As a result, that insane thought will carry me through the day.
Nervous for the game against the Ducks? I think not.

Connie, Quisp or somebody please correct me if I’m wrong, but can the Kings clinch a playoff spot if they win tonight or did Calgary spoil the fun with their win against the Avs last night?

From what I’ve read, the Kings need 3 more points so they won’t be able to seal the deal tonight.

The good news is that even if they can’t clinch tonight against Los Patos, they’ll still get a chance to clinch against the ducks on Tuesday and rub it in their faces on their home ice!

But yeah, being a playoff team isn’t so much about the stresses of game #78 — it’s more something you’d notice somewhere around game #83. Enjoy, or at least don’t freak out too much!

Sorry gang, but the Ducks having nothing but a semblance of their pride left to them, will win tonight because its the only thing they can hold their heads up about and the only thing worth playing for and that is to be a thorn in the Kings sides because they can’t be playing for pride as they have shown that this year they have none

As a longtime suffering King fan from the north who is tired of seeing the phoney Shark and Canuck jerseys floating about, it is so nice to see the Kings still relevant at this time of year instead of just thinking about draft positions! Go Kings!
