Bolts Qualify Teddy, not Lauri

I have high hopes for Mr Ted under Mr. Yzerman.

Bolts make qualifying offers

[...] Receiving offers were RW Steve Downie, C Blair Jones, RW Martins Karsums, D Mike Lundin, D Vladimir Mihalik, RW Teddy Purcell, D Paul Ranger, LW Juraj Simek, C Paul Szczechura and C Nate Thompson. [...]  Three players - RW Chris Lawrence, LW Radek Smolenak and RW Lauri Tukonen - did not receiver offers and will become unrestricted free agents on July 1.

Good on Teddy

I wish him well.

OTOH, I wonder if that commenter on Hammond’s blog who kept insisting that the Kings never understood Tukonen’s true value will have any comment.

Had High Hope for Teddy

before and after the trade. Appears in hindsight it was a good idea moving him.
6 pts in 41 games to 9 in 19 games his output seems to have tripled!

Then look at his D… -8 in 19 games. Glad he’s gone. Enjoy the sunshine, Teddy.
