Bar-ry Brust! Bar-ry Brust!

We need to bring back Barry Brust, and right now!

Seriously, I was hoping that Belanger would have been the Kings’ veteran face-off guy deadline acquisition instead of Halpern. Especially in retrospect, that seems like it would have been better. Don’t know if I’d sign him as a UFA, though, unless he’d be willing to take a short-term deal.

In all the Kovalchuk talk, very few people have noticed that nothing happened with Frolov on Day 1. I wonder if it’s because he’s waiting for Kovalchuk to be the first domino to fall, or because there is genuinely no interest in him anywhere at more than $4 mil/year?
