As of July 13,2010 at 4:05 P.M. Breaking News from the PMS Show on KLAC 570 AM. inside sources say that Ilya Kovalchuk & the Kings have FINALLY agreed on a contract. The announcement will happen around noon tomorrow. They say it's a reliable source from the negotiations and the reason for the announcement tomorrow is because of the All-Star Game today. This info was said by Matt "Money" Smith at the beginning of the show.

not confirmed yet but hearing that Kovalchuk to Kings is dead, this time for good. the reason: Kovalchuk wouldn’t compromise on money.
So we’re back to square one: he’ll sign or he won’t. Sigh…

Multiple folks with Twitter have left comments on Hammond’s blog say that Elliott’s latest reverses course and says that negotiations are still ongoing, that Team Kovi met with the Kings again before they left town.
It didn’t happen.
