I assume klubblos means clubless
Lilja's definitely 'klubblos,' but insists he controls his future | MLive.com
Former Red Wings defenseman Andreas Lilja last spoke to his hometown newspaper, Helsingborgs Dagblad, on June 27th, emphasizing that he wanted to test the free agent marketplace's waters, and, as he would later tell the Swedish news agency TT and Expressen's Gunnar Nordstrom, he expected to find both a larger payday than the reported 1-year, $1 million offer the Wings gave him (per Greg Brady) and a guaranteed spot on a team's "top four." [...] A month later, Lilja remains "klubblös," and he spoke to Helsingborgs Dagblad's Sara Johansson, but insisted that he's neither nervous nor anything less than in full control of his hockey future.
I thought Lilja was pretty good when he was a King all those years ago. Is there is a reason we shouldn't sign him?

I say sign him….hes not that old and may allow us some wiggle room with our rookies as far as distributing ice time amongst them rather than relying on them for more min than they can handle. If the rookies do well, play them, if not we have a semi veteran back there. And if its a one year 1.5 mil deal….that cant be all bad right?

At least :-D
Seriously, I wouldn’t mind having Lilja back as an OD substitute/veteran placeholder. He’s yet another example of a useful defenseman that the Kings gave up on too soon. Man, to think: He and Bednar were traded for Yuskevich, who didn’t even last the rest of the season with the Kings, and I don’t think he’s even playing professionally anymore, anywhere.
I want Mitchell or Johnsson, except without concussion issues. Can we buy a time machine first?

I can’t decide — Klubblos either means “clubless” or “intoxicated”. :)

Andreas could be a great fit to partner up with Jack Johnson on even strength shifts. I say sign him for 1 or no more than 2 years.
Screw it – how about giving him 1.67 million for 17 years?

works for me
if the price is right. LA should basically move on as if IK is gone. if his deal is voided wonder what NJ will do when/if turns out they are only bidder- “Oh sorry Ilya we really wanted to sign you to that deal but league won’t let us. How about $75 for 10 years?”
he took a long time off and supposedly is okay.
if not, then he retires and it’s no harm. but i’m not married to lilja. he’s just one of the candidates for sean o’donnell replacement.
Wait till this year.
I don’t know why I didn’t spot it before.
Klubblos = Concussed.
It reads perfectly now!

… I can’t tell if this is one of those “ironic”/“I’m just kidding” posts or not. If it isn’t — then why stop with Lilja? May as well follow this opinion to its logical end and re-tool the D with Dominic Lavoie, Chris Snell, and Rob Cowie. Who needs a farm team, right? Young players? For sooth. Let’s look backwards instead.
Are you being willfully obtuse?
The Kings could use an inexpensive, reliable veteran D as an insurance policy, if nothing else. I see nothing wrong with thinking aloud about Lilja.
