Typical Off-Season For Kings

Here we go Kings fans! The off-season signing you have all been waiting for. That one missing piece is finally here. The cog that will revive LA's triple crown line has arrived. The free agent who has the power to get that bad taste of the Jeremy Roenick signing out of your mouth has come. He is the offensive machine who goes by the nickname... The Big Disappointment?

Despite having money to spend, the Kings have yet again failed to convince any top free agents to call Staples Center their home ice. Since Patrick Marleau decided to stay with the Sharks, and, now pending successful arbitration by the players union, Ilya Kovalchuck accepted the ridiculously long 17-year contract with the Devils, the Kings turned to Plan C and acquired free agent  left winger Alexei Ponikarovsky.

Yay.
