More Hockey Cards from the Time Capsule
Let's start with young Peter Forsberg. Nice jersey.

Niklas Lidstrom, Canada Cup, 1991. Had not yet played an NHL game.

Pavel Bure, also pre-NHL.
Name these three kids.
Two nice rookie cards. Whatever happened to those guys? Never really panned out, I guess.
Three more from the World Juniors. Top of the cards clipped by evil scanner. Chris Pronger, Paul Kariya, and -- okay, name those three on the right...

I bet that Brodeur guy is terrible
Mathew Barnaby to Lyle Odelein: "Cornelius, as we like to call him, gets under your skin. Planet of the Apes. Look at him. Seriously. He looks like Cornelious."
Odelein to Barnaby: "He should take a look at his wife. She's God-awful to look at."

Federov rookie and the Bure rookie card (above) were "worth" over $100 during the height of the nhl trading card frenzy
but I believe one or both contained errors and dropped drastically. I believe Beckett Hockey was the popular magazine that listed the cards “worth” back then. Not sure if that’s the case now but until the market became saturated with too many sets/series, it was fun to collect em! Oh the good ol’ days. My favorite was/is the Bure card above (still own a french version that originally was worth more).
that's funny because I have about 20 of each in mint condition.
I’m emptying out my storage. Who knows what else is in there? (I’ve got several boxes — each with 20-30 packs inside — of cards from that era still sealed.)
Wait till this year.
If you're looking to sell them as a lot, go to Frank and Son
Since you’re in the Los Angeles area, it’s probably less trouble for you to cart them to Walnut and haggle with one of the dealers there than to sell them on eBay.
How '80s are these jerseys?

The answer is very ’80s.
I hope everyone knows I have no intention of facing this sober.
