Kovalchuk 20/20 Hindsight Poll -- Closed, See the Results!
Kovalchuk is like the Hindenburg, you can't look away as the thing goes up in flames. While the fat lady has yet to sing fans in LA have had plenty of time to formulate their thoughts, opinions and conclusions.
Now that (Kings) readers have been able to step back from the situation I wonder what their overall consensus is. I hope the choices are well enough delineated and varied to properly encompass your views. If not please add your specific viewpoint under "comments"; those agreeing can vote in the reply section.
Now that LA has the benefit of 20/20 hindsight in respect to Kovalchuk as a King what is your opinion?
I have never seen this person before in my life.

If NJ’s owner didn’t throw the insane money at Kovalchuk, I think he would have signed the $80/13 deal from Lombardi and the whole circus would have been avoided in the first place.
Based on that, I wish he signed with LA.
I think I would agree that a signing at that level would most likely have taken place. In that case I would have voted somewhere between C & D.
What is interesting is how evenly the voting is split. I think I would like to continue the poll just to see if it remains balanced while adding an option for an $80m signing.
Flippin' Polls
Humm, looks like the poll decided to flip readers off and shut down after just two days!
Sorry ’bout that!
Humm,..Back on Line
Sorry about the interruption, looks like last nights SBN repair work did the trick!
Kovalchuk 20/20 Hindsight poll
I don’t think that he has the attitude (or from what I gather from the Puck Daddy interview with the Russian correspondent, the intelligence) to be a two way player, and fully do what the Kings needed him to do. We ducked a bullet in not getting him, and having him tied up for that kind of money, for that kind of term.
Drop the puck, drop the mitts...Now that's hockey!
Did you know that someone keeps stats on where player are located on the ice when they pick up the puck and transition to offense?
Turns out that Kovalchuk rarely starts from behind his own blue. He is near the top for the highest percentage of starts from between the blue lines. The numbers conclude that he is among the least defensively oriented forwards in the league.
Who would have imagined a stat for that?
