Looking for someone in/around Manchester to blog the Monarchs
I'm more or less thinking out loud here. But if I could find the right person, a Monarchs fan who actually goes to the games and who feels like writing about it, I would like to have a second page on the site that covers the Monarchs. Not posting several times a day, but maybe once a week or so. No pay and no responsibility. If you are (or someone you know who isn't on SBN...yet...is) interested, comment accordingly. I know other blogs have had prospective new bloggers "audition" in the fan-post section, so maybe we'll do it that way. Maybe not. Like I said, I'm thinking out loud. I just think it would be a good idea to cover the Monarchs in more depth.
I have never seen this person before in my life.

It sounds like you want a direct line to Holly
You know, the Manchester commenter over at Hammond’s blog? I’ve never seen her here, so she probably doesn’t belong to SBNation yet.
I tried to send up a flare to Holly, both at Hammond's site and via the Facebook Monarchs page,
but have had no luck getting a hold of her. I assume she’s not interested.
Wait till this year.
:-(
Unfortunate. She has always struck me as perceptive, and it seems like she enjoys talking about the Kings’ prospects.
I shouldn't say I assume she's not interested, because obviously she could also be doing something else, like working, or having a life, or a vacation or something that's not hockey...
I agree. She’s good. Hopefully, she’ll surface at some point, since hockey is now upon us.
Wait till this year.
Try again, Quispie!
She knows from whence she speaks about the Monarchs…
Yes, I think it's time to make another effort
I’ve seen you and her answer each other’s posts over at Hammond’s a couple of times already.
Of course, that doesn’t insure that you’ll be able to make direct contact with her. And it appears that she doesn’t link to a website or email address when she posts.
Maybe you could ask Rich directly? She probably has an email contact point recorded by the site administrator… which they would probably be reluctant to give to you because of privacy issues…. But it might be worth a try.
If you’re really interested in having someone perform that function for JFTC — and it’s a good idea — she really is the obvious candidate. And given how freely she comments on what’s going on in Manchester, I can’t imagine she’d be hostile to the idea.
