Kings 2, Avs 3 - Post-Game Bullets
I don't have much to say about this game. I thought it was boring. I can't put my finger on it, but it was one of those games you just know the Kings are going to lose while boring you to tears.
Great goal by Scott Parse though.
In search of good news:
- Tyler Toffoli has 13 goals and 12 assists in 12 games. That's ahead of last season's league leading pace.
- That's nine points behind the leader -- Nail Yakupov -- who has played four more games.
- Toffoli's 13 goals is tops in the OHL.
- Jordan Weal has 7 goals, 15 assists in 15 games. That's eighth in the WHL.
- Andrei Loktionov has 3 goals, 9 assists in 11 games in Manchester. They need to bring him up and put him between Stoll and Lewis, like I keep saying. Maybe between Stoll and Richardson.
- Jordan Nolan has 2 goals and 4 assists in Manchester. He's a plus-4, which is right behind Loktionov and Marc-Andre Cliche at plus-5. I hope Nolan makes the team next year. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a cup of coffee this year.

Stoll will never play wing for the Kings. He will play center the rest of this season and move on next season. Loktionov will be our 3rd line center next season. Deal with it.
Deal with it.
You must be new here ;)
Quisp will deal with it the same way he dealt with (a) the new uniform (b) Purcell/Moulson/etc. He tends to “deal” more with all those topics when the Kings have a few days of rest. He hates rest. :)

Captain Brown
Way to take that penalty with three minutes left. In the offensive zone, no less!
Can we please strip the ‘C’ from Brown’s jersey???
Don't mean to step on your toes
but I believe you have gotten mixed up and meant to deposit your striking analysis here:
also, check out what Gagne, a guy who’s on the team, said about Brown as captain:

What do you expect him to say?
“He doesn’t pass. He shoots from terrible spots. And he is a shitty captain.”
He coud have said that he has a nice car or tells funny jokes or some inane bullshit. The question had nothing to do with him being captain, only what Gagne had learned about him.
Sure, that penalty really pissed me off too and isn’t exactly leading by example. But the room isn’t divided as it apparently is on some other teams, so that’s kudos to him. Besides, with the leadership that’s on this team these days it hardly matters who wears the C.

Watched the 3rd on the net and had exactly the same feeling as yourself.
Quisp…… you being the stat master, I know you know (even Rich mentioned it) that in 9 of the 11 games they’ve failed to score 3 goals in regulation. There are some really good hockey players on the other teams so Quick will have to do his best Dominick Hasek imitation to keep winning a majority of the games if they don’t figure out how to ‘unblock’ this system (is how it seems to me).
Good Points
Same problem they’ve had the past 2 seasons.
In other news, North Dakota (Forbort) and St Cloud State (Dowd, Gravel) split two meetings this weekend
And Cornell (Joel Lowry) lost to Mercyhurst…
First of all, nobody's ever thought that. Ever.
Scooter
Scott Parse leads the team with a 25 S%!
Find a line for the guy to play on and he will get even more.
