Good idea to scratch Andrei Loktionov in favor of Trent Hunter?

I see that Trent Hunter is a -2 after the first four minutes of the first period. So I guess not.

Maybe having Dreweske and/or Martinez being scouted. I think their stock just went down.

Are Teemu Selanne and Melanie Griffith Twins?

Bad decision. In Stevens defense, Loki played like shit last game

For every moment of triumph, for every instance of beauty, many souls must be trampled.

Rookies need time to learn.

Hunter is. Well.

I agree. It’s not even as if he played so bad last game that he should be sat in favor of Hunter either.

I would have been upset with this decision a couple weeks ago, but Lokti has been invisible since being called up.

With Lokti in the lineup maybe the Kings lose 8-3 instead…in the end it doesn’t matter. At this rate, the Kings are going to be one of the few sellers at the trade deadline. Might as well play Hunter and see if you can squeeze a conditional 7th rounder out of someone at the deadline.

Kings have been absolutely horribble against puck possession teams this season. The only thing that even gives us a chance is if Quick plays out of his mind. If he doesn’t……….8-2 is possible. Ugggghhhh! I hate muck and grind perimeter offense with a sprinkle of passive lane coverage defense.

And hiring Sutter doesn’t scream improvement offensively either.

I agree. I watch other games just to glimpse a functional offense.

In all seriousness, what do they need, 32 wins?

I’m down to hoping they won’t trade away players I like. That’s all I’ve got left.

An Equally bad decision to sitting VV and Lokti is....

Playing Westgarth against the wings. What is he afraid that Datsyuk is going to start some shit?

Yeah

I generally give the coaches the benefit of the doubt and try to figure out why they do what they do. That move was a genuine head scratcher.

In defense of Hunter

The first goal was off of a turnover from a bad pass by Doughty in the neutral zone, then Miller and Cleary beating the defensemen back to the goal for the rebound. Nothing Hunter could really do there.

The second goal was more defensemen gaffes as Quick went to leave the puck for his d-man but no one called out that Holmstrom was going to win the race to the puck cleanly. And let’s be honest, if Holmstrom is winning a footrace, you have plenty of time to say something. Put that on Quick or on communication—again not really against Hunter.

I hate Jonathon Ericsson.

If it’s the first goal, you mean Johnson, but yeah.

lokti

i was thinking the same thing. especially a superb skating like the wings.. maybe, they made Lokti watch every move Datsyuk made during the game up in the press box.. i believe Lokti is that kinda of player, hoping he becomes a mini Datsyuk. HOPING….
