Kings score three unanswered goals en route to ... 7-4 loss
I'm Just Going to Pretend That Never Happened.
Some losses are symptomatic of some fatal systemic flaw that must be addressed. Some are just stupid and have no meaning.

I blame the GM!
He did nothing today at the trade deadline to help this team! He just dithered and dithered again and look what happened.
An elite game-breaking sniper wandered in off the street looking for shelter and he refused to take him in.
Fail.

I think we can all very easily turn our thoughts to when Penner will join the team.

I didn't watch the game, but I can tell that was a big bag of FAIL
Nonetheless, a significant day for the Los Angeladelphia Oil Kings…

Damn it Penner, stop goofing around… We’ve got work to do…

Poorest effort since the
philadelphia game, oddly enough very similar, 7-4 loss. Of course in that one the Kings were sort of keeping up for a while but like one a lot of dog feces scores and chances given up. Thought JQ should have been pulled after than 2nd terrible goal, probably wouldn’t have made a difference but he’s been off the rails since he had his implosion vs. Colorado late in the game. Fortunately that game saw a 4-0 lead at the time and the clock ran out before Colorado could tie it.
I’d love to say forget it about it gents get the Yotes Thursday but based on this Kings track record this is just the kind of shit that gets them off their rhythm. Hope that is not the case this time, given this is only the 2nd game in what 16 or 17 that the Kings failed to pick up a point but these kind of piss poor efforts have come back to haunt them in the past. Let us hope that is not the case this time. Go Kings Go!
It appeared the Kings tried to be Detriot and failed. Too slow to get back when losing control and off goal tending.
Study that Wings PP with two men in front or seesawing on the sides then collasping for the shot and then move on. Better games ahead.

That game showed they have some things to work on, for all it was exacerbated by the other strange things that happened.
And it also made me think, once again, that Detroit’s coaching staff is outclassing our own.
Oh, did I just stir that up again? Whoops.

…not everyone can stand among the best, as long as we’re all pulling our hardest…
They have that amazing synergy that gets handed down from year to year. The funny part is when they finally get traded they can’t carry it to the new team (eh Drury?).
Uh oh, I smell something cooking…could it be Kampon Soup?

Well...
to me id rather get our ass beat down by the 2nd place team in the conference than lose to say, the islanders….
it wasnt like some glaring mistake cost us that game last night…nothing was going right except the first 4 min and last 5 min of the game….other than that…poop!
I propose we do not announce new contract extensions on gamedays…when JJ signed his extension, we announced it, kings lose…last night it was williams turn….plus the penner hooplah….=kerplunk!!!
Oh well, lets regroup and get a win over the desert dogs….i mean if we win 2 of 3 the rest of the way we will be fine…so lets all just…PANIC!!!!!!

Forget the false trade egg on the face. Got a great laugh reading THN this morning where they discussed the “tweets” and ended with this note:
“Perhaps the best was when the bogus LeBrun was tweeting that the real LeBrun was a fake.”
Looking ahead I suspect when the Aliens announce themselves everyone will just ignore them and go back to wondering when the Kings will win the cup..

If you're gonna lose in regulation...
…better to do it against teams that aren’t in a dogfight with you, such as the Islanders and Red Wings. I think that makes this loss a tad more tolerable.

We all know it was Jimmy Howard's fault.
According to the game thread he is responsible for 86% of all bad things.
Possibly more than 86%…

Even playoff bound teams occasionally get crushed at home.
At least they kept fighting back with those 3 unanswered goals, and not just rolling over and taking the loss.
I like Laich, but I <3 Green
Keep the faith!!!!!!
That's how I look at it, too
A flukey game. The Kings didn’t really play that badly until the score started to get out of hand. They showed good energy at the start and at later points. They weren’t lethargic from start to finish, like the Islanders game.
And I agree that the 3 goals at the end mean a little bit at least. They could have just given up entirely, but they kept at it hard enough to take advantage of Detroit easing up. So the Wings fans may think of this game as payback, but at least the Kings didn’t give up entirely in their loss.

No they don't
Good playoff teams never get crushed at home. They especially never get shut out 5-0 despite putting up 50 SOGs. That would never happen to a good team… :-)

After playing so well over the last 20 games or so, I’ll forgive the team for throwing out a stinker. I left the game after it reached 7-1 and by the time we pulled out of the parking lot it was 7-3, go figure.
I’m guessing Murray throws Quick right back out there on Thursday. When Quick allows a bad goal early, it’s usually downhill for him the rest of the game.
