Seven not enough for 67's

The win gave the Wolves the opener in the best-of-seven Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference quarterfinal at Scotiabank Place Saturday afternoon. Saskatoon Blades attack overwhelms Prince Albert Raiders in 8-1 playoff win - Winnipeg Free Press
The Blades showed off their offensive depth as seven different Saskatoon players scored in an 8-1 Western Hockey League playoff victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday. Matej Stransky, Brayden Schenn, Dalton Thrower, Stefan Elliot, Darrent Dietz, Josh Nicholls and Brent Benson all found their way onto the score sheet for the Blades. [...] Schenn collected his first playoff goal in a Blades jersey, taking a nice cross-ice pass from Curtis Hamilton before ripping the puck top-shelf past Raiders netminder Jamie Tucker. Schenn's contribution was the winning goal, giving Saskatoon a 2-0 cushion mid-way through the first period.

CHL - Medicine Hat 5, Brandon 2 -- playoffs roundup

With Medicine Hat's starting goaltender, Tyler Bunz, unavailable due to an undisclosed injury Dubyk's heroics allowed the Tigers to even the best of seven opening round playoff series at one. Sebastian Owuya, Dylan Bredo, Boston Leier, Cole Grbavac and Linden Vey scored for the Tigers. Scott Glennie had both goals for the Wheat Kings.

And Nicolas Deslauriers had four hits and a fight in Gatineau's 3-2 OT win over Rimouski.

Saskatoon has gotta be the favorite for the Memorial Cup

Also, it seems everybody is in the dark about J.F. Berube… Hopefully, he’ll make some noise in the Q playoffs…

dark horse

He is in the Q, and somehow they are to junior leagues what the Pacific Division is to the NHL. On top of that, he plays for the Montreal team, and Montreal only has eyes for the Habs. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but he would probably get noticed a little more if he was playing for Quebec, Drummondville, Rimouski or even Chicoutimi.
