Outsider creepin and looking for information... if any can share??

Star-divide

Truth is I am in a pretty elaborate GM hockey pool (salaries, arbitration, waivers).

The other truth is I am a big fan. Kings haven't always been on my radar, though this new breed (albeit some of them NEED to sign so we can stop making comparisons to other big name superstars, and worrying whether DD remains a King.).

This being said I have been looking at the European players drafted in the last couple of years, predominantly Russian, who might make a good push for a roster spot, maybe not this year.

One of the guys on my radar is Maxim Kitsyn. He did well in the WJHC and is playing in his second season in the OHL with Mississauga (Canadian town name equivalent of Mississippi).

I was wondering if you all had a take on him, and his future with the Kings??

Will Kitsyn make the Kings in the future?
Yes, he secures a contract after next season.

Nah man, he's another enigmatic Russian forward who'd rather play at home, He takes his stick and goes back to play in the KHL

Kitsyn has 2 years left on his deal in the KHL and he said he was going to honor that, so the earliest we’ll see him is 2013-14. But yeah, after that we should see him in North America and I wouldn’t be surprised if he stepped right in.

So, after playing in the Memorial Cup last season, he’s decided to leave Canadian Junior to play out KHL????

He had a contract with the KHL last year but they let him go play in Canada for half a year since he wasn’t playing very much. He’s finishing up that contract right now.
