Kings Fans, Time To Step Up

First off....if you're not on twitter - you should be. There's tons of hockey news to be had on there.

Second....once you're on twitter, follow @MRichie18 -- one of the newest Kings, Mike Richards.

Here's his post from today:

First game tonight @Staples centre, finally some actual hockey games #NHL

And who are the majority people responding? the philly fans - wishing him good luck, telling him to come back, etc.

OUCH.

If we want people to take SoCal hockey, and more importantly LA KINGS hockey, seriously then we gotta have that atmosphere where we show these guys some love and have an overwhelming voice.

Forget about $8...i mean #8....and get out there and show your support for the rest of the team - whether on the ice or on the web. We ARE the best fans - let's prove it to the world.

It's time to step it up a notch.

And our status as hockey fans should NOT take a hit just because some of us don’t use twitter. Do hockey players or the media use twitter as a real deciding factor? If they do, they shouldn’t.
