The NHL trading deadline is only 6 days away. Teams that figured they needed that extra person or persons have already pulled the trigger and fired their gun. Why not, it gives that player extra time to get used to his new team mates and the new system he is playing in. So why are teams that are reeling and struggling waiting? Could it be they are waiting for their roster they have to miraculously turn it around and go on some sort of huge winning streak? Highly unlikely. So why are teams like the Kings who are now in 9th place in the Western Conf. waiting? Between now and the end of the trading deadline the Kings have 4 games which could end up being 8 points if all were won. Now I am not saying that miraculously a player or 2 could make that much of a difference history shows it usually doesn't. As a Kings fans we have watched this highly talented team hit the organ player in the head with the puck more times then they have put the puck between the pipes (Slap shot reference). Seriously if the Kings are going to make a push to try and make the playoffs they need to pull the trigger now not later as we have seen in the past when they do this they miss an opportunity. There are 2 highly talented players that could improve this team if a package deal was to be made and I am not saying break the bank, but they would def. help out in the scoring dept. Nash and Carter. i as a Kings fan am tired of loosing out on deals by eastern conf teams (Capitals). A package could be done to get both players from the Blue Jackets, but the Kings need to either SHIT or get off the pot. Don't sell the farm but there are players on this team that could be traded and the Kings would come out on top and not skip a beat due to the addition and what is already on the roster now and down in the minors. It's time management you raised the prices of season ticket holders when the team is struggling, time to throw us fans a bone and DO THIS THING NOW.
