We took a week off, but there aren't any seismic shifts in the rankings. However, with the special teams either being awesome (PK!) or awful (PP!), there are plenty of adjustments to be made. Go!
Kopitar for Selke... just not for Lady Byng.
Martin Jones has allowed him a few days off, but it wasn't performance-related (.943 SV% in his last five).
Picked up his 500th career point and is doing just fine with Jarret Stoll replacing Anze Kopitar on his line. But please, stop high-sticking people.
Not as good possession-wise in the last few weeks, but he's getting points despite not playing with Jeff Carter.
Goals in consecutive games after a prolonged scoring slump. Is a hot streak on the way?
He's excelling with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter. No, it's not just because he's with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter.
His possession numbers have been quite good, and the PK keeps humming along.
9. Martin Jones (LW: Not Ranked)
Impressive debut, even more impressive second game. With two back-to-backs in the next ten days, we'll be seeing him again soon.
He's back, and he's got 26 shots in six games. If he keeps that rate up and his shooting percentage is average, he's well on his way to a 30-goal season.
11. Tyler Toffoli
Mitchell-Martinez (comparatively) struggled this past week. The penalty kill has been good, though.
Not as good as he's capable of, and the power play is hurting.
Leading the Kings in penalty kill time, and the Kings are doing well on said penalty kill. Carry on.
The scoring has fallen off, he's had a few noticeable mistakes on D, and the power play isn't so good. Otherwise, he's doing fine.
Finally picked up another point (sweet pass, dude), but his defensive work hasn't been anything to write home about.
17. Linden Vey
Vey played his first game since November 30! #freedlindenvey
Promotion! Got three straight games on the third line, with middling results.
The eye test usually makes him look good, because he's got more speed and energy than his linemates when he's in the bottom six. But he's not making an impact elsewhere. In and out of the lineup.
Came back for a couple games, then scratched again. Get back up to speed!
Got to play with Kopitar and Williams for five minutes last week! And hit the post. Then got scratched.
Fraser also didn't see the ice this week. If Linden Vey stays up, he's VERY expendable.
Turns out it was Vey who got confined to the bench. What do I know?
23. Tanner Pearson (LW: 18)
