Derek Forbort Signs With Kings, Will Join Monarchs

As expected, the 2010 first-rounder decides to leave North Dakota a year early, signing a three-year entry-level contract. Forbort is considered the premier defensive propsect in the Kings' system and arrives just in time for the AHL stretch run.
