Kings center Colin Fraser has been placed on waivers as per Elliotte Friedman:
Cote (TB), Omark (BUF) and Zolnierczyk (PIT) all clear waivers. Fraser (LA) is on them today, which I suspect is a cap move.— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) February 8, 2014

The Kings will be saving a good bit of cap space and is pretty good sign that they are pretty close to having deal lined up.
There's been heavy speculation that the Kings have been working on a trade for Oilers center Sam Gagner with the expected return involving Kyle Clifford. We recently broke down what Sam Gagner would bring to the table.
As far Colin Fraser is concerned, it'd be a little surprising if he cleared waivers. He has a pretty manageable cap hit and has put up decent underlying numbers this year. He also has some experience killing penalties but hasn't been used all that much in that capacity this season.
[EDIT: Fraser has cleared waivers and will join the Manchester Monarchs, presumably until after the cap situation clears up a bit.]
