Linden Vey recalled from Manchester

LA Kings Insider reports that Linden Vey has been recalled and will join the team tonight in San Jose. Vey had 9 points in 9 games since being sent down after the Marian Gaborik trade for salary cap related reasons.

Lombardi indicated after sending Vey down that he would "bring him right back" as soon as he had the salary cap room, and it appears that room has become available.

Outside of Tyler Toffoli, Linden Vey has been the most productive point producer in the Kings system according to NHL equivalencies. His 44 points in 40 games is the equivalent to  48 points over a full 82 games.

No word on how Vey will be used. He has mainly played center but also has experience on the right side. The Kings are currently very deep at the center position, so it might take moving Vey to the right side to get him in the lineup. The other option would be to reunite Richards and Carter which would open up a center spot in the lineup.
