2015 NHL Draft Preview: Order of selection, start time and TV coverage for Round 1

Hey folks! It’s draft day!

The festivities begin tomorrow at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, and for the first time in five years, the Los Angeles Kings are picking in the top half of the first round. Based on last year’s timetable, the Kings should be making their first-round selection around 5:30 PM Pacific… if they keep it, of course. We think they’ll select either Travis Konecny (profile), Kyle Connor (profile), or Timo Meier (profile), but they could also see one of the draft’s higher-ranked prospects drop into their laps. And who’s to say Dean Lombardi won’t go off the board with a defenseman ranked outside the top 15, or even a less-heralded forward?

Either way, for the first time in a while, the draft is going to be the high point of our June. Let’s see how it goes!

Round 1: Friday, June 26 at 4:00 PM Pacific

Live stream in the USA on NBC Live Extra

Rounds 2-7: Saturday, June 27 at 7:00 AM Pacific
