2015 NHL Trade Deadline Open Thread

The Los Angeles Kings have already made their expected big splash of the trade deadline period, acquiring defenseman Andrej Sekera last week for Roland McKeown and a draft pick. Only time will tell where it ranks in the Carter-Regehr-Gaborik hierarchy of Dean Lombardi deadline maneuvers.

The Kings might not be done, though. If there IS another move, it’s most likely going to be for a depth forward. Justin Williams, Jarret Stoll, Robyn Regehr, and Jamie McBain are impending unrestricted free agents, and as such they need to be kept in mind today even if they are key players in LA’s 2015 plan. Jordan Nolan and Kyle Clifford have new contracts that might be palatable for some teams with cap room. And draft picks are always in play, especially with the Kings in win-now mode.

One odd note so far this morning; some isolated reports of a potential Slava Voynov trade this morning were debunked, and no move is expected there. An update from the reporter who was initially informed that Voynov might be on the move:
