  • Notice I said NBCSN games. After getting one NBC game last season, LA's been completely shut out from the flagship station. Same story for the Pacific Division. That's par for the course by now.
  • Somewhat surprisingly, though, NBCSN will continue to show love to the rivalry between the Kings and the Sharks despite both teams missing the playoffs. Three Kings-Sharks matchups will appear on the network, including the second half of a season-opening doubleheader on October 7. That's tied for the most of any matchup in the NHL.
  • NBCSN is introducing the Wednesday Nightcap, a way to confine showcase the Western Conference in their own West Coast friendly timeslot. Each of the six instances will air after a Wednesday Night Rivalry game. LA gets two of those six, against San Jose and Colorado.
  • NBCSN is ALSO introducing Sunday Night Hockey, which will air twelve games in 2016. LA and Anaheim get one of those matchups on February 28, though it will again be the nightcap after another game (Tampa Bay-Boston).
  • The full breakdown: three matchups against San Jose, two against Anaheim and Colorado, and one apiece against St. Louis, Minnesota, and the big one... Chicago, on March 14.
  • And finally, this means we'll get up to 72 games of Bob and Jim!
