Rank the Players: Home is Where the Wins Are

LA breaks their four-game skid. We are all that child in that photo.

NHL: Edmonton Oilers at Los Angeles Kings Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight, the Kings rode to victory on the backs of their big offensive trio: Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli, and... Derek Forbort? Hey, they all left with a goal and an assist... who’s to say which one was the best?

I guess you’re gonna say that. Rank the Players below:

Devin Setoguchi iced the game in the third period after the above three put LA in the driver’s seat, and it seemed like a fair result. Edmonton carried most of the play over the final two periods, but the Kings spent all but 34 seconds of that stretch in the lead; maybe we should give them a break for losing the shot attempt battle by such a wide margin.

We’ll have more on all that in the recap, but for now, appreciate (1) the win, and (2) the fact that LA — after all that — is only two points out of a playoff spot with 64 games to go. A manageable deficit!
