Rank the Players: Kings Can't Claw Back Against Preds

You see, because predators have claws. That's the joke.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Jonathan Quick got pulled. So did Jhonas Enroth, eventually. The first move paid off for a while, but by the time the second move was made to get an extra attacker on, it was a little too late. Rank the two goalies, and the rest of the team, below.

Best Hockey Players of All Time

The first two periods were all Nashville Predators. In the first, it was a story of chances; the Los Angeles Kings actually outshot the Preds in the first, but it was very misleading.

The second period? Not so misleading. Nashville peppered Quick with 17 shots and scored thrice, with the latter two goals coming off of unfortunate rebounds, and Enroth came in at the start of the third. Drew Doughty and Alec Martinez each scored on point shots through traffic, but Ryan Johansen's response with 8:15 to go was the end of that.

More in the recap, including how Tanner Pearson's best imitation of Jeff Carter wasn't quite good enough.
