Rank the Players: Kings Drop Game 1

New, comments

Frustration.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Kings' long awaited return to the playoffs finally came tonight, and things even got started on the right foot. Unfortunately, both leads the Kings had in the game were short lived and the Sharks got the better of things in the end. The Kings finally had their game going in the right direction in the 3rd period, but only after the Sharks opened the period with a Joe Pavelski goal. Ultimately, their strong(ish) play (influenced by score effects) was too little too late, and the Kings fell behind in the series 1-0. Below, tell us all about which players you thought were good and bad.

I thought there were very few Kings that had strong games. Jonathan Quick was a mess in goal. Most of the defenders had their bad moments, and even Alec Martinez left the game early to put a sour footnote on his return to the lineup. Probably the only Kings I'd say were decent were Carter, Toffoli and Lucic.

Your thoughts?
