Gaborik Injures Foot in Team Europe's Win Over Sweden

Yesterday was a great day for Europe-Other-Than-Sweden-Finland-And-The-Czech-Republic. It was not a great day for Marian Gaborik, although he scored the first goal in Team Europe's semifinal victory over Sweden. The injury to Gaborik reportedly took place in the second period, which is interesting because (1) he might have scored AFTER taking that puck to the foot and (2) took regular shifts throughout the third period and overtime. Any optimism from those two facts should be tempered by the fact that he left the arena on crutches. More info once it's available.

UPDATE: Once again, via Helene Elliott: Dean Lombardi has said that Gaborik is expected to miss eight weeks. So who wants to play with Kopitar?
