2020 Los Angeles Kings Trade Deadline Bonanza

Rob Blake isn’t being shy about making big moves to continue to gather future assets for his “retool” of the Los Angeles Kings.

It’s a lot of moves, and a lot of coverage of saying goodbye to some much-loved players. We’ll keep track here of all of Blake’s moves leading up to the February 24 trade deadline.

February 5: Kyle Clifford and Jack Campbell to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Trevor Moore, Columbus’ third round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and a conditional third round pick in 2021

February 17: Tyler Toffoli to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Tim Schaller, prospect Tyler Madden (currently of Northeastern University), a 2020 second round pick, and a conditional 2022 fourth round pick if Toffoli

February 19: Alec Martinez to the Vegas Golden Knights for a 2020 second-round pick (belonging to Vegas) and a 2021 second-round pick (belonging to St. Louis).

February 24: Derek Forbort to the Calgary Flames for a conditional fourth-round 2021 pick.

Blake confirmed in a press conference after the trade deadline passed that there are no other moves in the works.
