2020 World Junior Championship Schedule

Heck with Christmas, World Juniors time is really the best time of year! What’s more exciting than watching a bunch of teenagers with the hopes of an entire nation on their shoulders?

The Los Angeles Kings this year have a record nine prospects playing in the tournament — that’s a franchise high and the most out of any other organization in the league.

Nine Kings prospects selected for preliminary World Juniors rosters

The nine players in the Kings organization representing their countries will be:

  • Canada: Aidan Dudas, Akil Thomas
  • Czech Republic: Lukas Parik
  • Finland: Rasmus Kupari, Kim Nousiainen
  • Sweden: Tobias Bjornfot, Samuel Fagemo
  • USA: Arthur Kaliyev, Alex Turcotte/

The competition begins today with preliminary round play and ends on January 5, 2020, with the medal rounds. The NHL Network will be broadcasting several games throughout the tournament, plus every game that the United States plays in. Quarterfinals (and the relegation round) begin on January 2.

We’ll bring you updates throughout the tournament; for now, if you want to watch, you can see the complete tournament schedule below. Games with a Kings prospect on the roster are in italics.
