Heck with Christmas, World Juniors time is really the best time of year! What’s more exciting than watching a bunch of teenagers with the hopes of an entire nation on their shoulders?
The Los Angeles Kings this year have a record nine prospects playing in the tournament — that’s a franchise high and the most out of any other organization in the league.

The nine players in the Kings organization representing their countries will be:
- Canada: Aidan Dudas, Akil Thomas
- Czech Republic: Lukas Parik
- Finland: Rasmus Kupari, Kim Nousiainen
- Sweden: Tobias Bjornfot, Samuel Fagemo
- USA: Arthur Kaliyev, Alex Turcotte/
The competition begins today with preliminary round play and ends on January 5, 2020, with the medal rounds. The NHL Network will be broadcasting several games throughout the tournament, plus every game that the United States plays in. Quarterfinals (and the relegation round) begin on January 2.
