The 10 teams competing in the 2021 IIHF World Juniors Championships are have been into two groups for the preliminary round. Group A consists of defending champion Canada, as well as Finland, Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland. Group B includes Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, and the United States.

The Los Angeles Kings lead the NHL for the second consecutive year, sending nine prospects to six teams. The Detroit Red Wings follow up with seven, five of whom will represent Sweden. Of the NHL teams sending prospects, the Dallas Stars are sending the fewest — Thomas Harley is the team’s sole prospect, competing with Team Canada. The St. Louis Blues are the only team to not send any prospects.

Switzerland is the only team to have no NHL-drafted players on their roster, though Austria (1), Germany (2) and Slovakia (2) all have two or fewer.

Every team’s roster is listed below.
