Regal Rundown: Ontario Reign open training camp

Plus new rules, Byfield’s debut, goalie rankings and more in today’s news and notes!

The Ontario Reign opened their 2021 training camp on Tuesday at Toyota Sports Performance Center — who will also host the team for the season — in El Segundo, Calif. The team will have four days of practice, followed by two exhibition games against the San Diego Gulls, AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

A 23-man camp roster includes 14 players re-assigned by the Kings on Monday.

Here’s the schedule for the first six days of camp:

Per LA Kings Insider, the Reign have four more exhibition games scheduled at Toyota Sports Performance Center: 1/22 vs. San Jose Barracuda (San Jose Sharks), 1/24 and 1/25 vs. Tucson Roadrunners (Arizona Coyotes) and 1/30 vs. Bakersfield Condors (Edmonton Oilers).
