The road trip from hell continues.
At an undisclosed point during the first period of tonight’s game against the St. Louis Blues, Anze Kopitar suffered some kind of lower body injury.
Again, there was no word given on when or how this injury occurred, so we can’t even really speculate about what happened.
Though he played through the end of the first period, Kopi never emerged from the dressing room for the second period. Initial reports listed him as “questionable” to return.
As always, we’ll update you with more information once it is available. In the mean time, please feel free to pray to your preferred deity or panic or weep into a vat of ice cream. I don’t drink, but I’m considering picking up that habit tonight.
At the moment of this writing, the Kings trail 1-0 late in the second period. Hopefully Anze has a little bit of Bobby Boucher in him for the third period.
