Every Bob Miller Troll from 2014-15

It was a “40-degree” year for our Kings, but Bob Miller brought the heat with troll after troll in 2014-15. For Bob, it was a truly special seasonfor unlike 2012-13, he enjoyed an uncut regular season as defending champ.

And like Boswell to Johnson…Cosell to Ali…Tuesdays to Morrie…I was lucky enough to capture it all.

But before we set off for this “meeting of the minds,” let’s take stock of Miller’s banner year by comparing him to LA’s top sniper:

Only Ovechkin, Nash, Stamkos, Seguin, Perry, and Tarasenko scored more per game than Bob!

Appearances Trolls/Goals Trolls Per Game/Goals Per Game
Bob Miller 68 32 0.47
Jeff Carter 82 28 0.34

We are all witnesses:

Troll #1
10/11/14
@ Arizona Coyotes

Troll #2
10/12/14
VS Winnipeg Jets

It was Bob’s b-day:

Troll #3
10/14/14
VS Edmonton Oilers

The Kings triumphed 6-1, highlighted by this Troll-foli goal.

Troll #4
10/19/14
VS Minnesota Wild

The Wild outshot the Kings 41-16.

Troll #5
10/19/14
VS Minnesota Wild

That same night, Charlie missed an open net in a 2-1 loss.

Troll #6
10/26/14
VS Columbus Blue Jackets

Bob clearly traumatized by his many viewings of “The Crow.”

Troll #7
10/28/14
@ Philadelphia Flyers

Troll #8
11/6/14
VS New York Islanders

Bob: “Nick Leddy back to get it. Remember him?”

Troll #9
11/8/14
VS Vancouver Canucks

Troll #10
11/18/14
VS Florida Panthers

Troll #11
11/20/14
VS Carolina Hurricanes

Bob mocked Patrick Roy’s propensity for pulling the goalie early:

Troll #12
11/29/14
VS Chicago Blackhawks

Troll #13
12/9/14
@ Buffalo Sabres

With a 6.6 % power play success rate to begin the year, Buffalo was straight blazing on the man advantage. Of course, that’s where the Sabres scored their lone goal and eventual game-winner, so Bob responded by zinging 18,000-plus:

Troll #14
12/29/14
@ Calgary Flames

With just a couple trolls, December was a rough month for both Bob and the Kings.

Troll #15
1/3/15
VS Nashville Predators

As we’ll see later, Bob loves the Kings so much, he can’t help but lash out on his own when they let him down. This, of course, was the game where LA came back from a 5-1 deficit, only to lose in overtime:

Troll #16
1/8/15
VS New York Rangers

Troll #17
1/14/15
VS New Jersey Devils

Los Angeles dropped this tilt 5-3, as a past Kings hero tormented us.

Troll #18
1/14/15
VS New Jersey Devils

After Steve notched two goals against LA in the Bernier Revenge Game:

The Kings lost six of the next seven games with nary a troll from Miller. Coincidence?

Troll #19
2/12/15
VS Calgary Flames

Miller MC’ed Barry Melrose Legends Night:

Troll #20
2/24/15
VS Detroit Red Wings

On Brayden McNabb:

Troll #21
2/26/15
VS Ottawa Senators

Andrew Hammond was shutting out Los Angeles:

Troll #22
2/27/15
@ Anaheim Ducks

Troll #23
3/3/15
@ Edmonton Oilers

Troll #24
3/23/15
@ New Jersey Devils

A great troll-scorer must be fearless. Bob was clearly unfazed by the Bernier Revenge Game.

Troll #25
3/23/15
@ New Jersey Devils

On Devils fans who gave him crap when he was celebrating in 2012:

Troll #26

@ New York Islanders

HT @LHultin

Troll #27
3/26/15
@ New York Islanders

Like Kareem to the skyhook or Savard to the spin-o-rama. Except Bob has the Leddy AND the Bernier.

Troll #28
4/2/15
VS Edmonton Oilers

Bob piled on with a hat trick in this 8-2 laugher.

Troll #29
4/2/15
VS Edmonton Oilers

Troll #30
4/2/15
VS Edmonton Oilers

Was Bob talking about this game? HT @jtdutch

Troll #31
4/4/15
VS Colorado Avalanche

Remember, Bob is a proud Badger.

Troll #32
4/7/15
@ Edmonton Oilers

The season was lost, so Bob took it out on his own:
