Battle of the backups tonight in net. Let’s go!
It’s a battle of the backup goaltenders, as Jack Campbell and Garret Sparks will be in net tonight. Both men have taken the long route to the NHL, but tonight’s their night to shine.
And for Toronto, the net is all Sparks; Maple Leafs starter Frederik Andersen is out with a knee injury. On the bench is Eamon McAdam, formerly of the New York Islanders system. McAdam, who played college hockey at Penn State (#WeAre), has played one game this season for the ECHL’s Newfoundland Growlers.
