Game Day Watch, 3/2: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Los Angeles Kings

HOW TO WATCH

Game Time: 7:30 PM Pacific
TV: Fox Sports West
Radio: KABC AM 790
Stream: Fox Sports Go (requires cable subscription)

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

if you’re a Kings fan: Back home. There’s a whole lot to be interested in from a Kings standpoint. Jonathan Quick (presumably) will be back in goal after he followed up a great first start with a not-so-great second one. LA’s trying a new winger alongside Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik. Bob Miller is making an announcement this afternoon which will get our emotions going. And after all that, there’s still a playoff race to worry about. If you’re going, enjoy getting to watch Auston Matthews.

if you’re a Maple Leafs fan: Toronto is in their own war for a wild card spot, and it makes LA’s battle look a bit tame by comparison. So this one’s important for them too.

if you’re a hockey fan: You can continue to watch the dramatic goalscoring race unfold, as Auston Matthews and Jeff Carter go head-to-head. You can see a fascinating debut for the Kings’ deadline acquisition (see below). You can watch a fun team take on a “desperate” team. And if you’re watching hockey at this hour, this should be way more interesting than Sharks-Canucks.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

for the Kings: Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tig Junior Elvis Iginla. Was there any question?

for the Leafs: Auston Matthews. Also an obvious choice.

Here’s Jarome Iginla’s 600th goal. It was against our Kings.
