For being one of the Los Angeles Kings’ top prospects, Jaret Anderson-Dolan quietly is going about his season with the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs, racking up points and being an all-around reliable player for his team.
Anderson-Dolan has been limited to just 26 games so far this season so far. He didn’t make his debut for the Chiefs until October 26 thanks to the time he spent up with the Kings, and then missed all of November and December as he recovered from surgery for a broken wrist, after which he joined Team Canada for the 2019 World Juniors Championship. In those 26 games, however, he’s been playing top line minutes for the team and has put up 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists), or a rate of 1.35 points per game. That puts him in the top 15 players in the WHL for points per game. (Vegas Golden Knights prospect Cody Glass leads the league with 1.82 points per game.)
The past four games for Anderson-Dolan have been even more of a points explosion than usual, though.
It started simply enough on February 26, the first of a four-game road trip and also first in a back-to-back set against the Prince George Cougars. Anderson-Dolan recorded five shots on goal, won 14 of 21 faceoffs, and, oh yeah, banged a puck off the post and in during overtime to win the game for Spokane:

The Chiefs faced the Cougars again the next night and it turned into quite the high-scoring affair. With the Chiefs up 4-1 in the early second period, and Anderson-Dolan already with three assists to his name on the scoresheet, he decided to get in on the fun with a few goals for himself:

Anderson-Dolan registered two shots on goal, scoring on both of them. His five-point night was the second such of his career; he previously hit that mark just over a year ago on February 10, 2018. It was also his sixth career four-point night. The win clinched a post-season berth for the Chiefs, as well. Playoff positioning and opponent is still to be determined.
In the two games since his five-point night, Anderson-Dolan has registered two points, a goal and an assist, in each, including another overtime game winner.

In all, Anderson-Dolan registered five goals and five assists on the Chiefs’ road trip.
The Chiefs play tonight against the Everett Silvertips as they enter the final seven-game stretch to close out the regular season.
