Jewelcast 2.5B: Pavelskicast

Hockey’s done for the night. At least, television hockey is done for the night. We’re just getting started! Jake Sundstrom joins us once again for Part 2 of our Kings-Sharks playoff talk.

Earlier today, our own Nick and former Fear the Fin editor Derek discussed the first-round series between the Kings and the Sharks, talked about Dustin Brown, and got to deal with the mid-podcast announcement that Jonathan Quick was one of the three Vezina Trophy finalists. (That was the Thorntoncast.) After six hours of playoffs, though, we’ve got more to talk about. The Anaheim Ducks, once again, were defeated at home in Game Seven, meaning that the all-California Pacific Division Final we deserved is not going to happen. Instead, the San Jose Sharks will take on the Nashville Predators.

For the benefit of any Sharks listeners, we will indeed talk about that upcoming series, as well as the remaining three playoff showdowns. But this is a Kings podcast, so we’ll also discuss LA’s chances in 2016-17 and beyond, along with the merits of Alec Martinez, Brayden McNabb, and Darryl Sutter. Oh, and the whole Ducks thing.

Listen to Episode 2.5B of the Jewelcast, live, at 11:30 PM. Go to the episode page or use the player below! If it’s too late, don’t worry, we’ll be on iTunes tomorrow.
