Jewelcast Three: The Pacific Preview Kicks Off! #HereCometheOilers

Tonight kicks off our Pacific Division preview series on the Jewelcast, as we’ll spent the next 6 weeks looking at all of the Kings’ competitors in the division one-by-one. Since we’re going in reverse point order, that of course means we’ll start off with the Edmonton Oilers tonight! We’ll go live at 6 pacific/9 eastern and talk about Dwight King going to arbitration, the upcoming JFTC Top 25 Under 25, and who knows what else. Then we’ll get into the Oilers heading into 2014-15. After making some additions this offseason, namely Nikitin & Fayne on their blue line and Benoit Pouliot up front, are the Oilers finally ready to take a step toward competitiveness again? Well-known hockey Twitter person and long-suffering Oilers fan Jason (@doogie2k) will join us at 6:30/9:30 to give his take on the Oilers’ moves and what he expects out of them heading into next season.

Of course, we’ll also take your calls (either via phone or Skype, both of which you can find via the episode page) and questions via Twitter (send them to @JFTC_Kings). Sit back and enjoy!

UPDATE: Show over, and we managed to do it in basically an hour this time instead of 90-100 minutes! Yeah!

Huge thanks again to our guest Jason, who was great and had lots to add to the Oilers discussion. Check out the full show below:
