Jonathan Quick Breaks LA Kings’ All-Time Wins Record

He already holds the Los Angeles Kings‘ franchise records for most wins in a season (39) and most shutouts in a season (10). He’s the only King ever to win the Conn Smythe Trophy, and he was the first Los Angeles Kings goaltender to take his team to a Stanley Cup. With today’s 3-0 victory against the Florida Panthers, Jonathan Quick continued rewriting the Kings’ record book.

Quick now has 172 career regular-season victories in 326 games, all in a Kings uniform. That breaks Rogie Vachon’s franchise record of 171 victories, a record that had stood for almost 40 years. Vachon was the standard among Kings goaltenders for a long, long time, and he was the first King to have his number retired by the team back in 1985. The former Montreal Canadien set most of the team’s goaltending records, and Quick is on his way to breaking almost every one.

Next on the agenda: Quick needs three more shutouts to break LA’s all time record in that department. Congratulations to the most successful goaltender in the history of the Los Angeles Kings!
