Hey, I thought it was “done” this morning, with Smyth going to Calgary for a 6th round pick. Now Ryan Smyth has been officially traded back to the Edmonton Oilers for 2005 6th overall pick Gilbert Brule and a 4th round pick. I am not clear whether this is Edmonton’s own 4th round pick (#91), or their acquired #113 pick. Either way, that’s much more than pretty much everyone thought Lombardi was going to be able to get. And with that, assuming no further moves (ha ha), I think we’re looking at a forward roster of:
Dustin Penner – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Scott Parse – Mike Richards – Dustin Brown
Jarret Stoll – Andrei Loktionov – Gilbert Brule
