Kings-Stars Preview: Need Some Mojo

Since we last met the Dallas Stars

IN: Alex Goligoski and Brenden Morrow have recovered from their injuries.

OUT: Kari Lehtonen (groin), Adam Burish (hand). Marc Fistric is still serving his suspension. Per Mike Heika’s Dallas Stars blog, Adam Pardy is a likely scratch.

Possible Lineup:

Ericsson-Benn-Ryder
Morrow-Ribeiro-Ott
Nystrom-Fiddler-Dvorak
Dowell-Wandell-Vincour

Souray-Robidas
Grossman-Daley
Goligoski-Larsen

In net: With Lehtonen out, there’s a new backup in town. Richard Bachman, who stepped in after Raycroft was pulled in their last game against the Sharks, will get his first official start in net tonight.

gets the nod.

Trevor Lewis

will be scratched again, this time replaced by

Brad Richardson

. I don’t know what to say. Neither of the Doghouse Kids are going to transform into big-bodied grinders, and lack of playing time hasn’t been helping. At least he’ll have a slightly better shot on the third line rather than the fourth.

Ethan Moreau

was waived, and will be replaced tonight by Kevin Westgarth. Rich Hammond mentioned that Mitchell was replacing Martinez — we’ll see how the pairs go today.Penner-Kopitar-Brown

Game Outlook: Mad, frustrated, hungry? Sure, and that’s just the fanbase. Jonathan Quick had an uncharacteristic night, and the team spent the rest of the game trying to play catch up. On a positive note, they did pour on a lot of shots (44 to 24). They need more sustained pressure, but this team is due. Overdue.

I’m glad they’re wearing the regal Forum blue and gold colors tonight, because they need all the positive mojo they can get.

Do it for Bernie!
