Off Day Watch, 2/13: Seto, we hardly knew ya...

The Kings shuffle some chairs, and news & notes from the weekend.

Well, the dream is dead - or at least on life-support. I think we all knew that the off season signing of Devin Setoguchi was a hail mary, for both the team and player. And despite a fast start and some feel good moments, Setoguchi’s time on ice and impact have slowly dried up in recent weeks. After being scratched in contests versus Tampa and Florida, it certainly felt that the Setoguchi experiment was close to over, and on Sunday the team made it official. All in all, I’ll be rooting for Setoguchi in hockey and in life. Here’s my favorite goal from #10 this season:

In additional news, Paul LaDue was assigned back to AHL-Ontario, though we’re likely to see his name again in the near future, either in a trade or (if this merely for him to get work in during the bye) a call-up. Fingers crossed it is the latter.

The Kings are off until Thursday, when they host the Arizona Coyotes at Staples.
