Kings assign Kupari, Anderson-Dolan to AHL

As the Los Angeles Kings prepare for their final game of the preseason, they also announced what will likely be their next-to-last round of roster cuts.

Forwards Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Rasmus Kupari were assigned to the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League. Both players had been practicing with the Reign group at morning skate recently, so their assignment to Ontario was foreseeable.

Kupari and Anderson-Dolan will be poised to take on major minutes in Ontario rather than being shuffled around in the Kings lineup or spending time as a healthy scratch. Both should be easy candidates for a call-up in the event that the Kings needs to add to their roster.

Earlier in the week, the Kings reassigned goaltender Cal Petersen, forward Martin Frk, and defenseman Mikey Anderson to the Reign, as well.

The roster currently stands with 27 players. Teams need to be at the 23-man cap by October 1.
