Los Angeles Kings Announce 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule
It has 82 games and some really long road trips. How fun!
Yesterday, we got a small taste of the Los Angeles Kings' schedule, with announcements that LA would start 2016-17 on the road against the San Jose Sharks before coming home for an anniversary celebration against the Philadelphia Flyers. This morning, we get the other 80 games on the schedule! The Kings have posted the schedule here, but you can see it in all its glory below:
Early points of interest:
- A nine-game road trip AND a nine-out-of-ten road swing (interrupted by the 2017 NHL All-Star Game at Staples Center).
- Two seven-game homestands AND an eight-out-of-ten homestand, to offset those.
- The Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins on November 3.
- Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 2.
- A season-ending back-to-back against the Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks, which caps off an April set entirely in SoCal./
More thoughts on the schedule to come, but for now, start making plans!
